New volunteer requirements for the 2011-2012 school year
Buncombe County has implemented new requirements for people who wish to volunteer in the school system.
All volunteers are required to complete a Buncombe County School "Volunteer Application Form". Any volunteer that will work in our 'side by side' program, in-class volunteering, extracurricular activities coaches, overnight field trip chaperones and who will volunteer one or more times a week must complete a background check (page 2 of the "Volunteer Application Form").
All forms are located on the BCS website (click employment, click volunteers); at the CCMS front office; and we will have them available at meet the teacher day.
